Raajneeti

Terms of use

Last updated 7 October 2026

A few company details (marked in brackets) are still being added.

These terms are the agreement between you and [registered company name] (“Raajneeti”, “we”) for using the Raajneeti website and apps. By creating an account or using Raajneeti you agree to them. Please also read our privacy policy.

1. Who can use Raajneeti

  • You must be 18 or older.
  • Taking stances, voting and answering surveys needs a verified Indian mobile number.
  • One person, one account. Don't create accounts for other people, share an account, or use more than one account to take part.

2. Your account

  • Keep your phone, and your Google or Apple account if you use one, secure. You are responsible for what happens through your account.
  • Give accurate information. Optional details about you are optional, but if you give them, they should be true.
  • You can delete your account at any time (see delete account).

3. Taking part fairly

Raajneeti is only useful if every stance and vote is one real person's own view. So you must not:

  • use bots, scripts or automated tools, or fake or bought accounts;
  • coordinate people or pay anyone to answer a particular way, or offer anything in return for votes;
  • try to find out how a particular person answered, or to identify people from published results;
  • interfere with the service, get around its limits, or access parts of it you aren't allowed to;
  • copy our data in bulk (scraping) without written permission.

We may leave out of the results, or remove, activity we reasonably believe breaks these rules, and suspend the accounts involved.

4. What the results are, and aren't

  • Results show what Raajneeti users said. People choose to take part, so results are not a scientific survey of all voters, and not an exit poll, an election forecast or an official count.
  • Results for a place or group are shown only when at least 30 people are in it.
  • Election law restricts opinion and exit polls around elections. We may hide results, pause polls or close issues in an area during periods when the Election Commission of India restricts them, and we follow the Commission's directions.

5. Information about leaders, constituencies and elections

We compile profiles of elected representatives and candidates, election results and parliamentary records from public sources, including sansad.in, the Election Commission of India, Wikipedia and Wikidata, and constituency boundaries from the DataMeet community. We credit sources on the relevant pages. We work to keep it accurate, but it is provided as is and may contain errors or be out of date. Boundaries are indicative and are not an official map. If you spot a mistake, tell us and we'll correct it.

6. Verified badges

  • Blue badges are for elected leaders and the staff who manage their profile, green for people of public importance, grey for the media.
  • We review each request by hand and confirm it through official contacts. A badge means we confirmed who the account belongs to, not that we endorse their views.
  • Verified leaders and their staff can choose their position on an issue, create polls for people's opinions (our editors review each poll before it goes live), update their photo, education, profession and official links. Leaders can't publish statements or edit their biography; those are written by our editors. We monitor changes and may correct anything misleading.
  • We may refuse a badge, or remove one if it is misused or the details stop being true.

7. Content

  • Issues, positions, arguments, polls and surveys are written and checked by our editors and aim to be balanced. Users don't post content on Raajneeti; you take part by rating, choosing and answering.
  • Anything you send us (verification evidence, messages) must be lawful and your own, and must not be abusive, hateful, defamatory, obscene, misleading, or impersonate anyone.
  • Raajneeti's design, text and software belong to us. Data from other sources stays under its own licence; for example, Wikipedia material is available under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike licence.

8. Suspension and ending

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the law, or to protect other users or the service. Where we reasonably can, we'll tell you why. You can stop using Raajneeti and delete your account at any time.

9. Paid features

We may introduce paid features. If we do, we'll show the price and any extra terms before you pay; nothing here makes you pay for anything.

10. Our responsibility

We provide Raajneeti as is and can't promise it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect losses, or for decisions you make based on results or information on Raajneeti. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under law that can't be limited.

11. Questions and complaints

If you have a question or complaint about Raajneeti, write to [contact email]. For complaints about your personal data, see our privacy policy.

12. Law and courts

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the courts at [city].

13. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll say so in the app and on the website before it takes effect. If you keep using Raajneeti after that, the new terms apply.
